June 8, 2015, San Francisco, CA – Southern Exposure is pleased to announce its famous annual Monster Drawing Rally, a live drawing event and fundraiser on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Verdi Club. Over the course of the night, 120 artists split into four one-hour shifts to draw in front a live audience, making their private studio practices public. Artists at all stages of their careers create sensational works using a variety of materials: everything from collage and watercolor to ink and graphite to performative acts. As spectators spy on the creative process, sketches morph into fullfledged artworks — immediately available for $75 each. The list of participating artists will be updated weekly. The Monster Drawing Rally is an integral part of Southern Exposure's mission to make art and artists more accessible. This annual gathering is a fantastic way to view new talent, interact with the Bay Area’s artistic community and support Southern Exposure's programming all at once.
